Grief & Loss

The pathway to healing from grief & loss begins when you feel heard and understood

Grief & Loss

Intense grief can be one of the most distressing experiences of a person’s life, it’s a time for self-love and deep self-compassion and doing whatever you feel works for you.

I am here to unconditionally support, comfort and hold space with you on your journey with respect, empathy, compassion and understanding.

I will help you to feel validated, support you and gently provide insight on how to be with the pain & sadness and then at your own pace move forward gently to manage situations as they arise plus navigate the rollercoaster of emotions.

With your permission, I will work alongside you to navigate any decision-making processes and important decisions that need to be made which can be particularly challenging when you feel so overwhelmed… in time and when you are ready work towards creating stability and small steps moving forward.

Grief is often thought of in relation to the death of a loved one, but it also is experienced with any kind of loss (e.g., relationship breakdown, divorce, retirement, empty nester, losing one’s job or business, loss of a fur baby, moving house, financial loss, loss of community and friends) and sometimes tragically all at once.

When we experience major change and start to grieve it not only affects the individual but it affects all of those people around us that are often left feeling uncomfortable, not knowing how to act or what to say which only adds more pressure and leads to feeling disconnected and isolated.

Everyone has a right to grieve in their own way and time no matter their circumstances, it’s a natural and normal part of loss and the body and mind’s way of coping. There is no time limit, rules or special conditions – we learn to live with grief and not get over it.
